A few common questions below. If you don't find your answer, we read every email.
How do I log a drink?+
- Open Pour and tap the + button.
- Add the drink — beer, cocktail, wine, or something non-alcoholic like a coffee or soda — and, if you like, who made it, a photo, and any notes or a rating.
- Optionally add who you were with and a location.
- Save — it's now in your journal forever.
You can log drinks without an account; that data stays on your device.
How does the map work?+
When you add a location to a pour, Pour drops a pin on your map. Over time the map becomes a history of everywhere you've had a pour. Connect with friends and you'll see their pins too — sharing is opt-in. Browsing and building your map is free; turning a trip into a designed, shareable map image is a credit feature.
Location is opt-in and per-entry — Pour only uses your location when you choose to add a place. You can manage location access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
Can I share pours with friends?+
Yes. Pour is private by default, but you can add friends and choose, pour by pour, what to share. Friends see a simple feed of each other's pours and can see each other's map pins — close friends, not a public broadcast. You're always in control of what stays private and what you share.
What are credits, and what do they unlock?+
Pour is free to download. Logging pours, adding friends, and building your map don't cost anything. Credits are an optional, one-time purchase that power the extras:
- AI recaps — a written recap of a week, a month, a year, any custom date range, or even a theme you type, like “beers on the beach.”
- PDF export & print — turn your pours into something you can save or hold.
- Shareable map images — turn your map into a designed image of a trip or a year to share. (Browsing your own map is always free.)
Credits come in packs, and the bigger the pack, the better the per-credit rate. There's no subscription — you only pay for what you use.
How do credit purchases work, and will I lose them on a new phone?+
Credit packs are one-time in-app purchases through the App Store. Your balance is tied to your Pour account, not to a single device:
- Sign in with the same Apple ID and your remaining credits come with you.
- Unused credits don't expire.
If a purchase doesn't show up, email us and we'll sort it out.
Where is my data stored, and is it private?+
Your journal lives on your device. If you sign in, some data also syncs to Pour's private backend to power sync and AI recaps. We don't sell your data or use it for ads. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data or account?+
Deleting the app removes the journal stored on your device. To delete your account and its data from our backend, open Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or email noah.mehrle2@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
